JSPL appoints Mr. Hemant Kumar as CFO

Mr. Hemant Kumar, has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd with effect from December 15, 2020.

Mr. Hemant Kumar is an alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce and did B.Com (Hons.). He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India & Associate member of Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He has over 28 years of experience with leading industrial houses of India like Dalmia Cement, Jindal Saw Limited, Hero Motors and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and has been instrumental in efficient managing the treasury functions and largely responsible for handling a wide portfolio of corporate finance functions. He is associated with JSPL for more than 9 years and is a strategic planner with cross functional experience of working in close coordination with senior leadership teams in formulation of Business Strategy for operating plans and long term plans including Evaluation & recommendation of New Projects and Project Cost Management & achieving a common shared vision for the organization involving complexities of regulatory & business environment through in-depth working knowledge of corporate finance. He is responsible for planning, leading and monitoring debt of the company with an objective to optimize the cost of capital, overall health of balance sheet, driving performance in profit and cash, treasury, investor relations, credit ratings, Corporate Taxation and Planning, secretarial, controllership, recording & reporting and other key strategic matters from time to time.

Shares of JINDAL STEEL & POWER LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.272.9 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 263.2. The total number of shares traded during the day was 432685 in over 3312 trades.
