Orientbell Tiles's Hoskote plant goes cleaner, greener with GAIL Gas

Orientbell Tiles, a reputed name amongst the tile manufacturers of the country is one of a kind brand that has not only set standards for better quality tiles but is also moving towards their sustainability goal by stepping in to make the environment clean.

Orientbell Tiles in its latest initiative has teamed up with GAIL - India's leading natural gas provider to switch to the use of natural gas in making tiles at their Hoskote plant in Karnataka. This is also a step towards a cleaner environment.

This collaboration helps Orientbell Tiles to use 20,000 cubic metre of natural gas for tiles manufacturing, bringing down the use of LPG (liquified petroleum gas) and the logistics attached to it.

Speaking on this collaboration, Mr. Anil Agarwal, COO, Orientbell Tiles, said, "With the ongoing climate change, it is our responsibility to help create a cleaner environment for future generations. Switching to natural gas to manufacture tiles is a small step towards a green environment."

Shares of ORIENT BELL LIMITED was last trading in BSE at Rs.138.75 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 138.55. The total number of shares traded during the day was 463 in over 36 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 140.9 and intraday low of 138.4. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 64605.
