Shipping Corporation of India to discuss proposed disinvestment

The Board of Directors of the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) in its meeting scheduled to be held on 06.11.2020 may also discuss a way forward for the proposed Disinvestment in lines with the various directions received from the competent authorities regarding probable Demerger / Hiving off of non-core assets.

The SCI Board may also approve the engagement of Consultant for advising, undertaking and implementing "Demerger / Hiving off' as part of the Company's Disinvestment process proposed by the Government of India.

Shares of SHIPPING CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.50.2 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 51.1. The total number of shares traded during the day was 23844 in over 190 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 51.35 and intraday low of 49.95. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 1207149.
