Ashok Leyland Limited reports sales of 6325 units in August 2020

Ashok Leyland Limited has reported sales figures for the month of August 2020. The company has reported 31% drop in sales during August 2020 at 6325 units as against 9230 units in August 2019. Domestic sales dropped 30% YoY in August 2020 to 5824 units as compared to 8295 units in August 2019.

LCV sales was down 4% YoY at 3736 units in August 2020 as against 3882 units in August 2019. Domestic LCV sales dropped 3% YoY to 3602 units during August 2020, as compared to 3711 units in August 2019.

M&HCV sales dropped 52% YoY to 2589 units in August 2020, as against 5348 units in August 2019. M&HCV bus sales was down 83% YoY to 313 units in August 2020 as compared to 1799 units in August 2019. M&HCV Trucks sales was down 36% YoY at 2276 units, as against 3549 units in August 2019.

Domestic M&HCV sales was down 52% YoY at 2222 units, as compared to 4584 units in August 2019. Domestic sales of M&HCV trucks was down 36% to 2132 units as against 3335 units in August 2019. The domestic sales of M&HCV Bus dropped 93% to 90 units in August 2020, as compared to 1249 units in August 2019.

Shares of ASHOK LEYLAND LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.68.1 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 70.5. The total number of shares traded during the day was 2830612 in over 15162 trades.
