HDFC Bank to raise Rs. 50000 crore through in next 12 months

The Board of Directors of HDFC Bank, at its meeting held today, have approved the issue of Perpetual Debt Instruments (part of Additional Tier I capital), Tier II Capital Bonds and Long Term Bonds (financing of infrastructure and affordable housing) up to a total amount of Rs. 50,000 crores in the period of next twelve months through private placement mode, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the Bank and any other regulatory approvals as applicable.

Shares of HDFC Bank Ltd was last trading in BSE at Rs.1031.35 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1019.75. The total number of shares traded during the day was 717999 in over 21235 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1042.7 and intraday low of 1013.15. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 739580078.
