Ugar Sugar doubles sugar production in 2017-18 crushing season

Ugar Sugar Ltd has announced that the sugar crushing season 2017-18 of company's Ugar unit & Jewargi unit have ended.

As per the data available, the company has doubled its crushing in Ugar unit as compared to 2016-17 crushing season. The sugar produced in 2017-18 season is at 20.50 lakh qtls as compared to 9.25 lakh qtls in 2016-17. Whereas, in Jewargi unit the sugar produced in 2017-18 season was at 3.46 lakh qtls as against 1.27 lakh qtls in 2016-17 sugar season.

The recovery has also gone up substantially in 2017-18 sugar season in both the units.

The company has also exported nearly double the units to the grid for sale.

Shares of UGAR SUGAR WORKS LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.15.7 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 16.05. The total number of shares traded during the day was 49637 in over 203 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 15.85 and intraday low of 15.1. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 767611.
