"Global markets closed on a weak note this week on the back of geopolitical concerns post testing of hydrogen bomb by North Korea. The Sensex closed mildly in the negative for the week. Among the gainers were Dr Reddy’s Lab (+10%), Coal India (+7%) and Bajaj Auto (+5%) and Bharti Airtel (-7%), ITC (-4%) and Cipla (-3%) were the top losers. FPIs offloaded US$415 mn worth of equities while DIIs bought US$269 mn in the cash segment over the past five trading sessions. Although the valuations are not cheap but the domestic demand for investments remains high. Several IPOs are lined up".
