AXIS Bank Ltd denies merger with Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd

AXIS Bank Ltd has clarified with reference to the news item appearing in certain sections of media about a possible merger between Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited and Axis Bank Limited.

The company clarified that the above report is baseless speculation.

"Axis is one of the strongest institution in the country with large customer franchise and we urge media to exercise extreme caution in dealing with such misinformation."

Shares of AXIS BANK LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.484.95 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 487.5. The total number of shares traded during the day was 429688 in over 5124 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 494 and intraday low of 482.95. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 209422992.
