United Breweries Board to consider Rights Issue

United Breweries Ltd has announced that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on September 28, 2007, inter alia, to consider the proposal to issue further Equity Shares to existing Shareholders on "Rights" basis.

The stock was trading at Rs.355, up by Rs.27.05 or 8.25%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.383 and low of Rs.325.

The total traded quantity was 83662 compared to 2 week average of 21323.
