              The Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers Sh. Hansraj Gangaram Ahir has lauded the Union Budget 2016-17, describing it as historic, people-centric and developmental. Welcoming the announcement made in the Budget for opening of three thousand stores under Prime Minister's Jan Aushadhi Yojana during 2016-17, he said that it will provide the common man good quality generic medicines at very reasonable and affordable prices all over the country.
Sh. Ahir complimented the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister for the Budget announcement. He said that Sh. Narendra Modi recently opened 108 Jan Aushadhi Centers in Chhattisgarh, which will provide low price medicines to the masses. Sh. Ahir said that under the scheme more than 6 hundred formulations of good quality will be provided. The stores will also provide medical devices and surgical items. He said the stores not only provide medicines equivalent in potency and efficacy to expensive branded drugs but also provide employment to the skilled persons.
Sh. Ahir said that all the Jan Aushadhi Stores proposed to be opened will be linked through robust IT-application to monitor availability of drugs at stores.
