Heimtextil India and Ambiente India 2015 exhibitor collections out in stores for Diwali

A sourcing venue for the Indian home fashion industry, Heimtextil India and Ambiente India 2015, held in June this year, facilitated serious business activities for its exhibitors bringing their latest collections out in stores, this Diwali. The canvas of choices in home decor, lifestyle and furnishing presented by 162 exhibitors from 7 countries at the Heimtextil India and Ambiente India trade fair early this year ensured that visitors did not leave without ordering or gaining inspiration for their upcoming projects.

Meetings with over 7,000 focused buyers from 22 countries have resulted in strong business results for exhibitors and visitors alike. 81% of the exhibitors of Ambiente India – in its second edition – and 91% of Heimtextil India reported to have attained their participation objectives. Moreover, product launches and Diwali collections by several exhibitors have now found their way to the stores.

Mr Gaurav Sureka, Director, Rumors said: "Our latest collection of drapes and upholstery was officially launched at Heimtextil India this June 2015. The collection have now hit the markets and we look forward to better sales this season." Ambiente exhibitor, Mr Aryan Jaggi, Business Development Manager, Linen Design Company (Bags & More) said: "In the end, it all comes down to serious buyers who mean business and several visitors who visited our stalls have placed orders or at least made serious sourcing inquiries."

The co-located shows are held at a time when the industry, from small order retail traders through to large volume purchasers, is looking to source products for upcoming buying periods like Diwali, Christmas and the wedding season. Diwali, being one of the biggest festive shopping seasons in India, has a strong significance on the overall home products market and has sparked good post-fair business for Heimtextil India and Ambiente India exhibitors alike. Mr Shwetank Jain, Managing Director, Tapisserie said: "The credibility of any fair for an exhibitor is because of its visitors and maturity ratio and we have had constructive post show deals for our Stardust collection of fabrics for upholstery and curtains and Trump collection for drapery and wall coverings that we launched for Diwali."

The optimistic response and impact on business of exhibitors and visitors have kindled bookings for 2016 which are in full swing, with interior décor and furnishing majors such as D' Décor, Beekalene, G M Fabrics, Rumours, Seasons, Welspun, Masterkitchen, Chematic, Artisan Ceramics among others already on board. The next edition of the co-located fairs providing access to the growing e-tailing, retailing and wholesaling segments for autumn, winter and festive collections of 2016-17 is slated to take place from 22 - 24 June 2016 in New Delhi.
