Transport Corporation of India Ltd Quarterly net profit at Rs.5.69 Crores

Transport Corporation of India Ltd has announced the UnAudited Financial Results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Company has posted a profit after taxes of Rs.56.9 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs.40.1 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income is Rs.2662.3 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs.2332.2 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

The company reported an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs.0.84 for Quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared to Rs.3.82 reported during Quarter ended June 30, 2006.

Income from operations for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 is not comparable with that of the quarter ended June 30, 2006 which includes turnover of Rs 232.00 million from fuel hived off during the previous financial year.
