Futura Polyesters Ltd Q1 net profit at Rs.9.41 Crores, up 194.06%

Futura Polyesters Ltd has announced the UnAudited Financial Results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Company has posted a profit after taxes of Rs.94.1 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs.32 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income is Rs.1201.2 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs.1373.2 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

The company reported an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs.1.8 for Quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared to Rs.0.61 reported during Quarter ended June 30, 2006.

Turnover during the current quarter is less compared to the same quarter last year due to lower production consequent upon debottlenecking of the plant, increased tolling arrangement in respect of certain products and cessation of Specialty Chemicals business.

Other Income includes Profit on sale of Land and Building Rs 64.90 million which is non-recurring.
