The Godrej campus in Vikhroli saw 14 passionate young dreamers fight for a chance to live out their dreams. Seven dreamers won the fourth edition of Godrej LOUD (Live Out Ur Dream), a platform to help young and talented India realise their personal dreams, which had been shelved due to career or sponsorship constraints. Team 'Avengers' from the National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai, won the Campus Dream competition, introduced for the first time as part of LOUD.
The finalists showcased their dreams to a panel of senior Godrej leaders comprising Nisaba Godrej, Executive Director, Godrej Consumer Products; Vivek Gambhir, Managing Director, Godrej Consumer Products; Balram Singh Yadav, Managing Director, Godrej Agrovet and Sunil Kataria, Business Head, India & SAARC, Godrej Consumer Products.
In addition to the sponsorship of up to INR 1.5 lakhs to help fulfill their dreams, the winners have also bagged a pre-placement offer for Gurukul 2016, Godrej's summer internship programme.
Ms. Nisaba Godrej, Executive Director, Godrej Consumer Products Limited said, "Godrej LOUD is our way of finding passionate young leaders. We believe that if someone is really passionate about something, even if it has nothing to do with what we do, it is likely they will bring that drive with them to Godrej."
Mr. Sumit Mitra, Head, Group Human Resources & Corporate Services said, "The last four years have been a testimony of the growing popularity of LOUD. This year, we received over 2,300 applications, a 40% increase from last year. We also introduced a Campus Dream competition for the first time and we received over 400 entries for it."
This year, Godrej LOUD (Live Out Ur Dream) saw a tremendous response with over 2,300 applications from across India's top business schools. Team Godrej LOUD visited 12 campuses (NITIE Mumbai; XIM Bhubaneswar; XLRI Jamshedpur; IIM Lucknow; SP Jain, Mumbai; SIBM Pune; IIM Kozhikode; MDI Gurgaon; IIFT Delhi; FMS Delhi; IRMA and IIM Ahmedabad) to find passionate first-year students.
