Marico Ltd Q1 net profit up at Rs.39.57 Crores

Marico Ltd has announced the following Un-Audited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs.395.7 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs.313 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income is Rs.3986.1 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs.3419.8 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

The company has reported an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs.0.65 for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared to Rs.5.4 during quarter ended June 30, 2006.

At its meeting held on July 25, 2007, the Board of Directors of Marico Ltd declared an interim dividend of 13.5% (Re 0.135 per share of Re 1 each) on equity capital of Rs 609.00 million. The dividend shall be paid to the shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as on July 31, 2007.

The stock closed the day at Rs.55.05, down by Rs.0.10 or 0.18%. The total traded quantity was 304069 compared to 2 week average of 419248. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.56.85 and low of Rs.54.80.
