Opto Circuits Public Issue oversubscribed by 3.89 times

The follow-on public issue of Opto Circuits (India) Ltd has received subscription of 4.89 times resulting in an over-subscription of 3.89 times. The company came out with a public issue of 40,00,000 equity shares of Rs.10 each at a price band of Rs.240 to Rs.270. The issue opened for subscription on March 31, 2006 and closed on April 5, 2006.

The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) portion of the issue received subscription of 9.8765 times, Non Institutional Investors portion of the issue evoked response of 3.5237 times, Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) portion received subscription for 1.5390 times, Employee Reservation received response for 0.5954 times and Existing Shareholder portion 0.2843 times.
