Madras Aluminium Company Ltd has announced about the following:

1. The Company has been awarded the ICWAI National Award for Excellence in Cost Management-First Prize in Private Sector-Manufacturing - Unit Category by the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) on July 02, 2007.

2. The Company has become a 100% debt free Company as on June 15, 2007.

The stock closed the day at Rs.527.25, down by Rs.14.95 or 2.76%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.553.30 and low of Rs.525. The total traded quantity was 1609 compared to 2 week average of 5331.
