The students of Canadian International School celebrated the festival of Christmas by bringing smiles to the needy who lack the comforts of life. As part of the initiative, Students, parents & staff of the CIS Community have come together in supporting the students with disability / underprivileged at Shrandhanjali Integrated School. This school is one of the oldest inclusive school based in Bangalore run by the APD (NGO). Their aim is to create an inclusive society, where people with disabilities are accepted into the mainstream economy and social life. The school also held CIS Christmas drive to collect food, stationery, clothes and funds for the less fortunate organizations.
As a part of Christmas Celebration, the Canadian International School was tastefully decorated, giving a festive feeling, with the happy sound of pealing bells, lights sparkling everywhere, and hymns of joy and peace. The classrooms were decorated with Christmas festoons, hand-made cards, snowflakes, hollies and Christmas Trees. Santa distributed gifts & candies to the children.
Christmas concert at CIS this year was again really spectacular..... from kindergarten kids with full of energy on stage in colourful costumes to middle and high school young ones showing of their talents with wonderful performances.
"What could be better than celebrating Christmas and sharing smiles with less fortunate members of our society who lack the comforts of life, unlike most of us who celebrate the day with loads of goodies, new clothes and gifts to flaunt' We at CIS look for ways to reach out to the needy and make an effort to make Christmas season a little brighter. A time to share our good fortune with all those in need across the world" adds Ms Shweta Sastri, Executive Director, Canadian International School."
