Mr Ananth Kumar, Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers, GoI will address the Inaugural Session of the Conclave as the Chief Guest and also Dr.V.K. Subburaj, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, GoI as the Guest of Honour.
The key objective of the Conclave will be to create an "all stakeholders" platform to discuss the critical issues plaguing the Pharmaceutical sector in India and identify concrete short, medium and long term action plans – on all fronts viz. policy, infrastructure and internal actions that industry should take.
The Conclave will be the first major platform after the inception of the new Government at the Centre and has already received a strong traction from various Ministries given that Pharmaceuticals has been included as one of the key sectors under the Government's "Make in India" initiative and it is looking for innovative inputs from this sector experts for taking forward this vision. The Conclave will deal with a range of issues related to "Manufacturing", "Regulatory", "Pricing" and "R&D", amongst others. Please find enclosed a Concept Note, the programme outline and a Reply Form.
The Conclave will attract participation of the senior most decision makers from the Government and the Pharmaceutical sector and will provide an excellent opportunity for sharing perspectives with them on the shape of things to come and in high level networking.
