              US Markets continued to perform steadily as investors bought equities taking indices higher for yet another week. The Dow Jones Industrial average ended at 16478.41, up 257.27 points or 1.59 percent. While the broad based S&P 500 climbed 1.27 percent to close at 1841.40, the tech-rich Nasdaq inched up 1.26 percent to shut shop at 4156.49.
Optimistic outlook for the US economy and expected improvement in key European economies boosted investor confidence as they bought equities taking all the major regional indices in the European region higher for the week. The FTSE-100 emerged as the biggest gainer, rising 2.18 percent to conclude trade at 6750.87. While the CAC rose 2-percent to end at 4277.65, the Germany's DAX gained 2.01 percent to draw curtains at 9589.39.
Following strong global cues and firm regional currencies, Asian markets staged a smart rally for the week. All the regional indices ended in the green, gaining between 0.79-1.94 percent.
