The Indian Rupee opened the session on a stronger note against the US Dollar on Thursday following a slew of measures announced by the new RBI Governor on Wednesday on the currency front. The currency came under some pressure during the day on reported Dollar demand from oil importers and PSU banks. However, the Indian Rupee ended the session stronger at 66.01 as against Wednesday's close of 67.06 against the US Dollar.
The 6 and 12-month forward premia closed at 7.39% and 6.46% respectively compared to prior close of 7.79% and 6.84%.
