Key Indian indices surged - Standard Chartered Securities

Key benchmark indices surged as world stocks rose after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke on Wednesday, 10 July 2013, said that a highly accommodative monetary policy is needed for the US economy for the foreseeable future.

Mining and Metal stocks rose after global commodity prices rallied overnight. Bank stocks rose across the board. Capital Goods stocks also edged higher. Auto stocks were mixed. IT stocks rose on renewed buying. Realty stocks gained.

Markets expected to open flat, as caution ahead of Chinese growth data next week could offset gains from Wall Street's record-breaking rally overnight. Volatility is expected on account of Infosys' Q1 FY14 results.
