              US markets were closed yesterday.
Asian stocks rose, with the regional index on course for a second week of gains, as European policy makers signaled they will keep interest rates low for longer.
The Nifty, after briefly slipping below 5,800, gained momentum in the last hour of trade and closed near day's high led by gains in Reliance Infra, HCL Tech and ITC taking cues from positive global peers. Brokers said IT company stocks remained in demand as weakening rupee and signs of improving US economy raised hopes of higher revenues. Market is expected to open on a positive note and expected to remain range bound during the day.
