In US Markets, Major Indicies closed in red on lingering concern over Federal reserve stimulus programs and after a decline in US consumer sentiment data along with profit booking. JPMorgan Chase&Co shares slid after the banks private equity unit, One Equity Partners, will become independent and raise future funds from an external group of partners.
On the European front, The Britishbenchmark rose due to gains in real estate companies after a rise in house prices to a record last month and on signs of merger and acquisition activity in the region along with weak US economic data backing the case for central bank stimulus.
Nikkei opened on a negative note in the morning session on the back of a fall in US market on friday due to a weaker dollar and on lingering concern over Federal reserve stimulus programs after weaker US data. However, Growing speculation that the Bank of Japan is expanding its REIT purchases alongwith buying interest witnessed in defensive stocks pushed the market to gains.
