NIFTY hits a new all-time high, crosses 3100

NSE S&P CNX NIFTY hit a new historic all-time high today after the finance minister presented the budget yesterday. NIFTY hit a new all-time high of 3119.4, zooming ahead by more than 40 points from yesterday´s close of 3074.7.

Out of 50 stocks in Sensex 36 were gainers and 14 were losers. ACC was the top gainer in NIFTY with the stock hitting a new high of Rs.678.85. ACC was up by nearly 7.98%. Maruti was up by 5.7% at Rs.869.45 followed by Tata Motors (Rs.852.5, up by 4.45%), Satyam Computers (Rs.806.25, up by 4.76%), Grasim Industries (Rs.1816, up by 4.21%), BHEL (Rs.2108.25, up by 4.01%), Bharti Tele (Rs.374.7, up by 3.78%), Bajaj Auto (Rs.2696, up by 3.64%).
