Agricultural commodity - Sugar: Elevated demand supply gap to weigh on prices - ICICI Bank : Treasury Research

International benchmark price of raw sugar is currently trading around 16 cents/lb, the lowest level since July 2010. Prices have remained under pressure since the beginning of this year amidst supply glut. Sugar prices are expected to continue their bearish trend amidst expectations of excess sugar supply.
