NIFTY touches new peak of 3083 on Budget day

NIFTY touched a new high of 3083 on budget day. NIFTY opened at 3067.9, higher than previous close of 3067.45. NIFTY touched a new high of 3083 and was trading at 3075.05.

GAIL was the major gainer in NIFTY with the stock trading higher at Rs.281, up by 2.13%. L&T (Rs.2420, up by 2.02%), HPCL (Rs.343.5, up by 2.07%), Grasim Industries (Rs.1695.25, up by 1.54%), ACC (Rs.607.35, up by 1.61%), Tata Power (Rs.529.45, up by 1.47%), BPCL (Rs.456.45, up by 1.7%), ICICI Bank (Rs.605.5, up by 1.49%) were the other major gainers.
