JSW Steel Q4 net profit at Rs.413.25 crores

JSW Steel Ltd has announced the results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2007. The Unaudited results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2007: The Company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 4132.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 4106.80 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total Income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 19724.30 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 25792.70 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

The Audited results for the Year ended March 31, 2007: The Company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 12920.00 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 8565.30 million for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total Income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 65984.90 million for the year ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 86995.90 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The Audited consolidated results for the Year ended March 31, 2007: The Group has posted a profit after tax after share of profit from associates of Rs 13038.90 million for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total Income (net of excise) is Rs 86995.90 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The stock closed the day at Rs.582.90, up by Rs.8.80 or 1.53%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.585 and low of Rs.570. The total traded quantity was 254156 compared to 2 week average of 224221.
