Reliance Communications reports quarterly profit of Rs.6867.50 million

Reliance Communications Ltd has announced the Audited results for the quarter & year ended (15 months) March 31, 2007. The results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2007: The Company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 6867.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Total Income is Rs 31412.00 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

The results for the Year ended (15 months) March 31, 2007: The Company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 24088.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total Income is Rs 117619.10 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The consolidated results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2007: The Group has posted a profit after tax of Rs 10244.10 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Total Income is Rs 39369.10 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

The consolidated results for the Year ended (15 months) March 31, 2007: The Group has posted a profit after tax of Rs 35264.30 million for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total Income is Rs 174402.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The previous financial year of the Company was for a period of nine months from April 2005 to December 2005. However, with a view to provide more relevant information the results for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 and 12 months from April 01, 2005 to March 31, 2006 have been compiled and disclosed.

The results for the fifteen months ended March 31, 2007 include twelve months 'operating results of erstwhile Reliance Infocomm Ltd for the period from April 01, 2006 to March 31, 2007 which was merged into the Company with effect from March 31, 2006 and hence, the figures relating to the quarter and fifteen months ended March 31, 2007 are not comparable.
