Indian markets slip to negative terrain - Eastern Financiers

The ardently awaited policy review by RBI for the third quarter that was largely on anticipated lines aided the indices mid-day, before it slipped in the negative terrain in the final hour of trade marking loss of around half a percent. RBI trimmed the growth projection for the current fiscal to 5.5% from 5.8% estimated earlier and said it was necessary to arrest the decline in growth as inflation risks moderate.

Nifty ended the day at the 6050 mark with loss of 24.90 points and the Sensex flaked off 112.45 points that parked the index at 19990.90. Broader indices too performed almost in line with the benchmark indices.
