Markets witness choppy session - Eastern Financiers

Ahead of November Industrial Growth and the third quarter earnings of IT major, Infosys Technologies that is anticipated to be subdued—markets witnessed a choppy session of trade which ended almost flat on the penultimate trading day of the week.

Benchmark indices edged marginally lower, less than one tenths of a %. Nifty ended the day at 5968.65 with meager loss of 2.85 points and the Sensex shut the shop at 19663.55, just 3.04 points lower than the previous close.

Broader indices underperformed the benchmarks, shaving off almost half a %.
