Veena and India Food Network have launched "SIMPLY SINDHI" a television series on popular Sindhi recipes like Sindhi Mutton, Sindhi Kadhi, Seyal Dabalroti and Sanha Pakora.
Veena Gidwani, a senior PR professional has always been passionate about both her career and her love for cooking. "You can call me a self taught cook. I developed an interest in food after watching my grandmother, mother and aunts prepare and serve delicious, traditional Sindhi cuisine," says Veena.
She firmly believes that to turn out a dish that tastes great, in addition to using the right ingredients in the right proportion and following a step by step cooking process, you need to add a liberal dose of love or feeling to it. Over the years, she has experimented with other cuisines too and created several new recipes.
Veena is also a food columnist, contributing to newspapers and magazines. She writes a Blog called Flavours-recipes.blogspot .com and has also appeared on Food shows on leading TV channels like Star Plus and Times Now.
Ping Digital (parent of IFN TV) Director (Acquisitions) Anagha Rajadhyaksha said, "We are delighted to showcase Veena's culinary skills in Sindhi cooking, a niche that fits well with our objective of bringing out some of India's finest and often unknown culinary talents, from their own homes."
