Moser Baer Trust (MBT) has got solar rooftop systems installed at its Digital Literacy Centre at village Surajpur, Greater Noida to ensure continuity of learning process amidst load shedding. This unique initiative will ensure uninterrupted power supply to the Digital Literacy Centre which will have positive impact on the computer education of these children.
This rooftop solar system has been designed and developed by Moser Baer Solar Ltd which will generate sufficient power to meet the requirements of the centre in operating the computers. The system has a battery back up to store the power thus generated.
Nita Puri, Chairperson, Moser Baer Trust, said : "Solar rooftop systems are emerging as a long term remedy for villages afflicted by day time power shortages. This rooftop solar system will also reduce the usage of diesel led generators which are unreliable, polluting and expensive."
She further added, "This is a perfect example of business practice helping the local community grow sustainably."
Moser Baer Trust, in partnership with Nasscom Foundation is operating 4 knowledge centers in the regions of Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. These knowledge centers provide digital literacy and are jointly certified by Microsoft. Since 2008, the Trust has imparted education to more than 750 students from surrounding villages. During the ceremony, the Trust awarded certificates to 72 students on successful completion of training imparted under the digital literacy program.
The stock was trading at Rs.70, up by Rs.3.55 or 5.34%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.70.75 and low of Rs.66.75.
The total traded quantity was 9.33 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 2.01 lakhs.
