India's leading fabric and apparel manufacturer and retailer, Raymond has strengthened its board by inducting S L Pokharna, President, Group Commercial and Supply Chain, as non-executive director.
Pokharna, who has been credited for the turnaround of the company's apparel business despite the pandemic, has over four decades of experience in finance, sales, marketing and commercial functions. He has been with Raymond Group since 1981 and prior to his current role has held various leadership roles across the Group.
The Board of Directors of the Company, based on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee has appointed Pokharna as an Additional Director designated as NonExecutive Director with effect from July 23, 2021.
Raymond is expected to immensely benefit from Pokharna's deep knowledge of apparel and retail industry and rich experience in business and corporate governance.
Expressing his views on the appointment, SL Pokharna said, "I am very pleased to join the Board of Raymond. I look forward to leveraging my experience and playing a part in the continuing development of the company, including its plan to scale up its operations and navigate the company through challenging times."
Shares of RAYMOND LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs. 448.55 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 459.8. The total number of shares traded during the day was 49640 in over 1968 trades.
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 461.6 and intraday low of 446.8. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 22441208.
