L&T triumphs Project of the Year award at the 11th Project Management Institute (PMI) India Awards 2019

Project Management Institute (PMI) India, the world's leading not-for-profit professional membership association for the project management profession, has announced Larsen & Toubro (B & F division) as the winner of 11th PMI India Awards in the Project of the year - Large category for the Statue of Unity project. Apart from this, Public Works Department, Dehradun won in the Medium category for their Uttarakhand Emergency Assistance Project (Road and Bridge). RITES Ltd. and Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Private Limited bagged the awards in Small and Micro category respectively. Powergrid Corporation of India Limited won the award for contribution to the community.

PMI India Awards Program is well recognized by industry, Government, NGOs and project practitioners as the most prestigious award for projects and the project management community in India. Projects deliver the vision of organizations and project managers work within multiple challenges to execute these projects. It is therefore important to recognize successful projects and project managers. Besides great visibility, it is a fitting acknowledgement to the organization for their valuable contribution to the project management profession and community.

Every year PMI India awards are given at the Project Management National Conference which is a flagship event of Project Management Institute (PMI) India. The conference provides a great networking platform for the working professionals to realize how challenges can turn into opportunities and how to cope up with changing job markets globally. For this year the conference theme was "- Adapt. Transform. Accelerate. Made possible by a project manager.

The PMI India awards 2019 were given away by Guest of Honour, Gen V. P. Malik, Former Chief of Army Staff, Indian Army, Chairman, and Chief of Staff Committee of India; Randall T. Black, Chair, Board of Directors, PMI; and Joseph Cahill, COO, PMI.

Shares of LARSEN & TOUBRO LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.1527.65 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1412.85. The total number of shares traded during the day was 1159380 in over 55509 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1554.05 and intraday low of 1433. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 1769461502.
