State-owned Allahabad Bank has received on date, 235 proposals for Rs.260 Crores at its Kisan Pragati Kendra (KPK) across the country, of which 37 proposals amounting to Rs 39 Crores have been sanctioned by the Bank. Shri CH. S.S. Mallikarjuna Rao, MD and CEO, Allahabad Bank today inaugurated Kisan Pragati Kendra (KPK) at Lucknow and at 42 other locations of the Bank simultaneously through Video Conferencing alongwith 31 Agriculture Finance Branches (AFB). The Field General Manager, Lucknow Shri Ravindra Singh and other dignitaries, customers and Staff members of the Bank were present on the occasion.
Establishment of Kisan Pragati Kendras (KPK) & Agriculture Finance Branches (AFB) are an initiative under the Project "NAVODAYA" of the Bank for ensuring sanction of Investment Credit to Agriculturist to boost their income potentials for doubling their income by 2022. Proposals above Rs 5.00 lakh under Agriculture Investment Credit portfolio shall be processed & sanctioned by the KPKs. The entire processing of proposals shall be done through digital mode.
For effective & efficient utilization of the KPKs, Bank has also launched 5 new agriculture schemes, viz - AllBank FarmTech, AllBank Green House, AllBank Horticulture, AllBank Food Processing and AllBank Irrigation.
