Upon receipt of all required permission from regulatory authorities, the trail of the Commercial Production of Premium Katha at The Indian Wood Product Co. Limited's [BSE: IWPJ] Jammu & Kashmir Plant has commenced from today i.e., July 11, 2019.
The availability of better quality of khair timber in J&K will enable IWP to produce higher quality of Katha and increase market share in the Premium Katha segment. Surplus Katha Liquor produced in J&K will be utilized in production at Baroda &
Kundli units to improve the quality of Katha and also result in higher utilization of production capacity.
As per the Licence to Establish and Operate issued by the Conservator of Forest, East Circle, Jammu, IWP was required to commence the operation of plant within one year. IWP has fulfilled the license commitment within the deadline. The license is valid up to September 6, 2020.
Shares of The Indian Wood Products Company Ltd was last trading in BSE at Rs.67.45 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 66.1. The total number of shares traded during the day was 13380 in over 44 trades.
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 69 and intraday low of 66.1. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 911446.
