Posted On: 2019-03-25 21:47:29

Shalby Limited is one of the leading multi-specialty Chain of hospitals in India having strong presence in western and central India.

Shalby Limited has been forefront of providing pioneer, qualitative medical services at affordable costs within its home base and has six full-fledged hospitals having 1104 beds, being largest corporate hospital in Gujarat, which provides quaternary healthcare services to patients in various areas of specialization such as orthopaedics, complex joint replacements, cardiology, neurology, oncology, and Nephrology.

The Government of Gujarat introduced "Mukhyamantri Amrutam(MA) Yojana" first time in 2012 and extended the benefits to lower middle class apart from BPL families over the time. Recently, Government of Gujarat vide its circular dated 28th February, 2019 has extended the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Yojana to the beneficiaries of MA Yojana in respect of joint replacement surgeries. They have also raised health insurance cover provided under state's Mukhyamantri Amrutam Yojana and Mukhyamantri Amrutam Vatsalya Yojana to Rs. 5 Lacs w.e.f. 1st March, 2019. The increase is in line with Centre's Ayushyaman Bharat Yojana. The Government has also increased the income limit of the family under MA Vatsalya Yogana from Rs. 3 lacs to Rs. 4 lacs. Currently there are about 69.56 lacs family members  covered under the scheme.

This will benefit a huge number of citizens of the state who otherwise are finding it difficult to get this treatment done due to economic reasons. Shalby being the world leader in Orthopedic including joint replacement, is the best placed to get advantage of this scheme by treating maximum number of patients. Also, the reach of Shalby is quite good with its presence across the state in Gujarat.

The beneficiaries in the state of Gujarat shall be able to take the advantage of specialty services in the areas of Orthopaedic, Spine, Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology and Nephrology.

Shalby Multi Specialty Hospital being empanelled under "Ayushyaman Bharat Yojana" and "MAA Yojana" for joint replacement surgeries (for knee and hip) and other specified surgeries offers no cost options to the patients covered under the scheme, will increase the footfalls of its units in the state of Vibrant Gujarat and thereby we expect substantial growth of the Company.
