Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group, and India's largest Bus manufacturer, today announced that it had bagged an order from GSRTC (Gujarat State Roadways Corporation) for 1290 buses. This order comes closely on the back of 2580 bus orders received from various state transport undertakings recently.
Speaking about this order, Mr. Vinod K. Dasari, Managing Director, Ashok Leyland, said, "We are very happy to receive the confirmation of this order from GSRTC. Ashok Leyland is currently the 4th largest manufacturer of buses in the world and India's largest bus manufacturer. This order would further consolidate its leadership position.
Shares of ASHOK LEYLAND LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.90.75 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 90.55. The total number of shares traded during the day was 1944131 in over 4743 trades.
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 92 and intraday low of 89.5. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 176801638.
