Honorable David Ridgway MLC inaugurates HCL's Delivery center at Adelaide

HCL Technologies (HCL), a leading global technology company, and, the Honorable David Ridgway, Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of the Parliament of South Australia and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Investment Australia, today announced the opening of a new Delivery Center in Adelaide, signing a six-year contract with a leading agribusiness and iconic brand in Australia.

This Delivery Center and Office opening in Adelaide joins HCL's network of Global Delivery Centers across the world. As part of the contract, HCL will build an intelligent sourcing model with their digital transformation for the future. HCL will work with Elders to achieve their vision of an agile IT environment that supports future business growth and delivers quality service to clients across Australia and internationally. Initially, HCL will help create 50 jobs in the region. At present, HCL employs 1600+ professionals in the Australia region.

"The establishment of HCL in Adelaide offers a significant opportunity for the local agribusiness sector to enhance their service offering to clients, both nationally and internationally, through innovative technology solutions,' said Minister Ridgway. "With South Australia's strong credentials in defence and health industries as well as our emerging space and autonomous vehicle sectors, there will be many opportunities for highcalibre ICT solution companies, like HCL, in Adelaide."

HCL's engagement with local business was crucial to the smooth settlement into South Australia and the partnership provided a perfect leverage for HCL to finally call South Australia home.

The opening of this office reiterates the strategic importance of South Australia in HCL growth strategy and restates our commitment to the region at large. We are excited to explore other areas of growth in the region as well to build more future partnerships. We look forward to continue our engagement with the government and commitment towards strengthening the local ecosystem," said Michael Horton, Senior Vice President, Australia, HCL Technologies.

The South Australian Government, through its inbound and outbound business mission program, has been engaging with HCL to invest in South Australia by demonstrating the State's strong credentials in various sectors and opportunities.

Shares of HCL TECHNOLOGIES LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.1018.65 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1014.4. The total number of shares traded during the day was 69423 in over 1115 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1025 and intraday low of 1004.8. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 70398270.
