Budget Expectations from Globsyn Group

Bikram Dasgupta - Globsyn GroupSpeaking on the budget expectation 2009, Mr Bikram Dasgupta, Chairman & CEO, Globsyn Group had the following to comment:

On Software Industry

"India still holds the prime attention in the Software Industry, however Government still needs to boost the sector as there are large numbers of software companies in the SME sector. So apart from continuation of STPI scheme we also need special govt assistance in govt contract procurement for the sector. It’s also demanded that there should be a way, where SME’s can bid & win contracts on merit grounds."

On Education Sector

"India’s education needs still stand on to be developed therefore opening up of higher education is hugely welcome and is the need of the hour. But we must ensure that content, research, collaborations, quality of faculty, has precedence over ownership of land & building. Also an area to look at is cheaper credit from Banks to fund growth for Academic Entrepreneurs is a highly demanded."
