Kesoram Industries Ltd has announced that an incident of fire has taken place in the Heavy Chemicals Section of the Company situated at Hindusthan Heavy Chemicals, 19, B. T. Road, Khardah, Kolkata 700 116, west Bengal on August 16, 2010 at about 2.30 p.m.. As a result the Caustic Chlorine Plant has been affected and the said Plant is likely to remain idle for some time. There is no accidental injury caused to anyone. All the equipments are properly insured.
Necessary steps are being taken to repair the said Caustic Chlorine Plant and normalcy is expected to be restored within 2-3 months.
The stock was trading at Rs.291.30, down by Rs.7.85 or 2.62%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.300 and low of Rs.289.
The total traded quantity was 18903 compared to 2 week average of 14455.
