AirAsia's 'Big Sale' promotion is back!

Hyderabad - March 3, 2010: AirAsia, the world's best low cost airline is marching into the third month of year 2010 by offering its guests yet again our 'Big Sale' promotion. Guests can expect more destinations at even lower fares than the previous 'Big Sale' held in August 2009.

As Asia's leading low cost airline, guests can look forward to travel across AirAsia's extensive network with over 130 routes covering more than 70 destinations, including Southeast Asia, China, Australia, India and Europe. The booking period is from 3 March to 7 March 2010, and guests will be able to enjoy ultra low fares for the travel period of 25 September 2010 to 13 February 2011. This promotion is only available online exclusively via its website www.airasia.com or mobile.airasia.com.

All destinations are on sale, with fares from as low as RM9* only. Domestic destinations such as Penang, Langkawi, Terengganu, Johor Bharu and Kota Bharu are all up for grabs from RM9*. Guests planning to visit Sabah and Sarawak will be able to enjoy fares from as low as RM29* to Kuching, and from RM49* to Kota Kinabalu.

International routes are expected to be snapped up instantly as the return of the 'Big Sale' offers fares from RM29*(Rs 2999*). Highly in demand "Kangaroo Routes" in Australia such as Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth are available from RM149*, while those planning for a European getaway can opt to fly to London from as low as RM699*.

Kathleen Tan, Regional Head of Commercial, AirAsia said: "This would be the best opportunity for guests to maximize on our extensive route network to travel to more places at a much lower price. For example, guests can hop to two favourite destinations from less than RM200; a beach getaway in Phuket from as low as RM49* and travel onwards from Phuket to shopping paradise, Hong Kong from only RM131*. Or guests could also relax at the island of gods, Bali from RM99* and take a trip to Perth, Australia with direct flights from Bali, with fares as low as RM117*. With, AirAsia's nine hubs (Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Penang, Bangkok, Phuket, Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, and Bandung), and a network stretching across 20 countries to over 130 routes, there's more than a treasure chest awaiting to be discovered out there, and the 'Big Sale' is its key, unlocking the splendours of travel."
