Arshiya International honoured with two awards at the prestigious 'Supply Chain Asia Logistics Awards 2009' in Singapore

Mr. Ajay S. Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director of Arshiya International Ltd., a global integrated supply chain and logistics infrastructure solutions Company, has been conferred with the 'Visionary of the Year' award by Supply Chain Asia for his outstanding achievements in the field of logistics; presented in a function held in Raffles Town Club on November 12 in Singapore.

This award to Mr. Mittal represented the second honour to Arshiya in this ceremony where the Company was earlier awarded the 'Supply Chain Innovation' award for its pioneering initiatives in the integrated logistics space in 2009. Mr. Mittal was the 8th recipient of the Visionary of the Year award with some previous honourable winners of this accolade including Mr. Mahathir Bin Mohainad (Former PM of Malaysia), Dr. Yu Ning Fu (President and Director, China Merchant Group), John F. Meredith (Group Managing Director - Hutchison Port Holdings), His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Ai Maktoum (President, Dubal Civil Aviation Authority & Chairman of the Emirates Group) and Dr. Victor K. Fung (Group Chairman of the Li & Fung Group of Companies).

This prestigious award to Mr. Mittal comes as recognition of the exemplary performance of Arshiya International on infusing much needed logistics infrastructure solutions (Rail & Free Trade & Warehousing Zones {FTWZ}) into improving productivity and efficiency for corporations operating in India.

Commenting on the award Mr. Mittal said that "I represent India. A country with a billion people and a rising new generation of entrepreneurs who don't fear to dream. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be here to receive this prestigious award and I thank the Jury that found Arshiya's vision worthy of such accolade. But I dedicate this award to the fraternity of logistics in India; that is about to witness a sea-change in productivity and innovation. I dedicate this moment to the opportunity and recognition of India and the difference this country and its innovative logistics infrastructure will make to the world of tomorrow."

Arshiya International additionally won the 'Supply Chain Innovation' award against competition from other nominees including Accenture, Agility, Kuehne Nagel & TNT.

The stock was trading at Rs.130.80, down by Rs.0.75 or 0.57%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.134.30 and low of Rs.130.

The total traded quantity was 11365 compared to 2 week average of 50500.
