Chennai, 19th February 2009: Consolidated Construction Consortium Ltd (BOM:532902), an integrated construction service provider having projects in the industrial, commercial, residential and infrastructure space has completed the construction of new integrated terminal building at the Trichy Airport. The new terminal building will be inaugurated on February 21st 2009, by Shri P.Chidambaram, Honourable Union Minister for Home Affairs, Government of India.
The project had been awarded by Airports Authority of India to CCCL, for development of the new terminal building at the Trichy International Airport valued at Rs 48 crores. The new terminal consists of a spacious public concourse, landscape court, VIP lounges, CIP lounges and much more.
Chairman and CEO of CCCL Mr. R.Sarabeswar said, "We are very glad to be associated with the Trichy International Airport project and we thank Airports Authority of India for providing CCCL the opportunity to work on this esteemed project."
The Trichy Airport project includes expansion of the new integrated terminal building which is a two storey complex (11,777 Sqm), construction of service block (576 Sqm), car parking, overhead tank of 1,00,000 litre and underground sump of 5,00,000 litre capacity. The new terminal building was designed previously to handle 200 passengers and currently it has been designed to handle double the passenger flow.
Presently, the company is associated with airport projects at Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangalore, Delhi and Dehradun.
With these orders, the total order backlog is around Rs 3700 Crores, which is to be executed over a period of 18-24 months.
The stock closed the day at Rs.128.90, up by Rs.3.55 or 2.83%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.128.90 and low of Rs.127.
The total traded quantity was 150 compared to 2 week average of 15596.
