Isgec Heavy Engineering Ltd has received yet another order for Waste Heat Recovery Boilers from the Cement industry and this time the capacity of the boilers will make them the largest in the world. The order has been received from Shree Cement Ltd., one of the largest cement manufacturing companies in India. These Boilers are to be set up at their Raipur unit and will be of 2 types, a PH Boiler to be installed at the pre-heater exhaust, and an AQC Boiler to be installed at the cooler exhaust from the 10500 TPD kiln.
This technology goes a long way in helping the cement industry reduce its carbon footprint by utilising waste heat to generate clean or green power, and Isgec, with extensive experience of setting up EPC projects, is ideally suited to execute such a large project.
According to Mr. V.K. Luthra, Business Head, Industrial & Green Energy Boilers at Isgec, "this is indeed a very prestigious order for us and we thank Shree Cement for once again showing confidence in Isgec's capabilities. This is the second project that Isgec will be successfully setting up for Shree Cement."
When asked, Mr. M.M. Rathi, Senior Vice President, Shree Cement said, "We have worked with Isgec earlier too, when they set up another Cement Waste Heat Recovery Boiler for us. This was about 4 years back and the Boiler is running satisfactorily. We are sure of their capabilities and look forward to another successful execution from them."
Isgec is internationally recognized for setting up a wide variety of industrial and green energy, as well as utility boilers. So far Isgec has set up more than 850 Boilers across 48 countries, which include approx. 50 Waste Heat Recovery Boilers.
