Heritage Foods Limited has commissioned Off Grid Distributed Captive Solar Power Plants at its 6 various locations / plants namely, Bobbili Packing Station, Battiprolu Packing Station in Andhr Pradesh, Kallur Packing Station in Telangana, Sangavi Packing Station in Maharashtra, Vada Madurai Packing Station in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore Packing Station in Karnataka with total capacity of 1.66 Kwp on March 29, 2017 with key objective to optimize energy mix by use of clean & green (renewable) energy sources to reduce carbon emissions and to secure energy at low cost.
The company increased its renewable energy capacity to 8.2 MW with 2.34 MW solar power, 1.66 MW distributed solar power and 4.20 MW wind power in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for the captive consumption of its dairy plants.
