Suzlon Group's subsidiary REpower Systems SE has signed a contract with EDF Energies Nouvelles, for the delivery of 175 2MW wind turbines of the REpower MM82 and MM92 type for a project in Quebec, Canada. With a total rated output of 350 MW the Riviere-du-Moulin wind farm will be the biggest project in the history of REpower.
The project is located in the unorganised territories of Lac Pikauba and of Lac Ministuk, north of the city of Quebec, will be developed in 2 phases. The construction of the first 150 MW starts in 2013 and commissioning is set for December 2014. The second phase of 200 MW is scheduled for commissioning in December 2015.
The Suzlon Energy Ltd stock was trading at Rs.22.90, up by Rs.1.70 or 8.02%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.23.35 and low of Rs.21.55.
The total traded quantity was 165.06 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 76.05 lakhs.
