Panacea Biotec Gets Rs.187 crore order to supply Oral Polio Vaccine
Panacea Biotec Ltd has received Government of India's orders for supply of 345 million doses of Trivalent Oral Polio Vaccines (tOPV) and Bivalent Oral Polio Vaccine (bOPV) worth Rs.187.61 crore, to be supplied during the period December 2012 till May 2013 to meet the requirements of National Immunisation Days (NIDs) and Supplementary National Immunisation Days (SNIDs). Panacea Biotec will supply 125 million doses of tOPV in the month of December 2012 and 70 million doses of tOPV in the month of January 2013 for the National Immunisation Days (NIDs). The company will also supply a total of 150 million doses of bOPV to meet the requirements of Supplementary National Immunisation Days (SNIDs) - 100 million doses in the month of February 2013 and 50 million doses in the month of May 2013. The Panacea Biotec Ltd stock was trading at Rs.122.25, up by Rs.8.05 or 7.05%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.125 and low of Rs.116.60. The total traded quantity was 28737 compared to 2 week average of 2244.
